Two types of plant table are available: fixed tables and mobile tables. The mobile tables are used in projects where the use of the surface area is fundamental. Both types consist of: A support or trestle, with a levelling system and with a transfer system in the mobile tables, which are built in galvanized steel. Sides that are built in aluminium. A base.
The bases, besides reinforcement elements in galvanized steel, can come with bottoms of galvanized steel mesh or gratings, polyethylene bottoms for cultivation with substrate or loose, or polypropylene bottoms, for watering by flooding crops in container. The flooding systems have siphonic flow and relief valves for the adjustment of the watering processes and drainage. Both systems are available in different widths and lengths, adapted to the most usual layouts in the existing commercial greenhouses. Benefits: They provide an appropriate working method for handling trays in horticultural nurseries and ornamental plants in container by making it possible to perform the different tasks at a more comfortable height and position for the worker. The tables with mobile systems offer a better use of the workspace in the greenhouse, limiting the number of service corridors and unproductive areas to the minimum. They can be used as a flood watering system, a very favourable method for cultivation of a great many species of container-held ornamental plants. They offer the possibility of having heating systems installed in their base which improve the germination of seeds and the rooting of propagation cuttings, localising the heat precisely where it is required and with the ensuing energy saving.
