Humidification - Low Pressure – Fogger Print E-mail
Fog systems

The management of the different environmental factors that interact in a greenhouse and that often determine a successful crop, is one of the specialties that APR Greenhouses & Technology is able to make real with the best results, offering its clients contrasted experience and optimum solutions.

In summer the crops are subjected to adverse atmospheric phenomena, such as high temperatures, a high index of solar radiation, dry winds, etc. These weather conditions mean that excessively high temperatures are reached inside the greenhouse and that a high deficit is present in the degree of humidity in the air.

To prevent the crops from deteriorating because of these factors, APR Greenhouses & Technology can provide fogging and misting systems that correct this extreme weather situation, so that the plants and the auxiliary fauna employed in biological control, have optimum survival conditions.

Our technical department is able to offer you the best fogging and misting systems according to the needs of each particular project, with the attainment of the best results regarding cooling, humidification and spraying of phytosanitary agents in greenhouses, nurseries, air conditioning of rooms and chambers with controlled atmospheres.

Systems of low pressure fogging:

The systems of low pressure misting are systems designed to increase the humidity and achieve the cooling in greenhouses at least cost. They are systems recommended for correcting conditions of high moisture deficit during the first phases of cultivation and avoid excessive temperatures.

A low pressure fogging unit comprises:
  • Pressurization unit: electric pump to deliver the flow and pressure that are specified for the mouthpieces.
  • Filtration head: it is calculated in terms of the source, the solid matter in suspension in the water and the passing diameter of the fogging mouthpieces.
  • Distribution networks and sectoring of total cover: pipes, valves and fittings, securing materials, etc. necessary for the uniform allocation and management of the fogging flows. The fogging is done in the top part of the area to be treated, with the objective of covering the entire volume.
  • Misting mouthpieces: system that allows the application of low water flows at a relatively low pressure (1-4 bar) with sufficiently small drop sizes to favour their evaporation in the air. An adequate distribution in number, as well as the position and the direction of each of the mouthpieces allow the best results to be obtained.
