Equipment operation:

The equipment works by generating chlorine from salt, and it consists essentially of an electrolysis cell and a direct current source that feeds the cell. The level of salt necessary for operation is generally found in the drainage of the hydroponic crops. On passing the drainage solution through the Ecohidro unit, the chlorine generated destroys the organic matter present in the water and becomes salt again in a closed cycle.

Installation of the Ecohidro equipment is straightforward, and its maintenance is simple. Generally, the unit is inserted in the outlet pipe line of the filter or pond, or in a bypass arrangement. The usual form of installation is with PVC piping.
