Travelling irrigators for nurseries Print E-mail

The nursery watering system is vital for obtaining uniformity in plant growth. Traditionally a hose was used with a spray, but with this system we are subject to how the operative carries out his task and it is difficult to achieve uniformity in plant growth since the allocation of water with fertilizer is never even and therefore growth is unequal.

In APR Greenhouses & Technology, aware of this problem, we install travelling irrigators for nurseries that allow us to automate the watering and make a uniform allocation of the provision of water and fertilizers.

The system consists of a bar suspended above the plants that carries the mouthpieces for watering and/or phytosanitary treatments. A rail system mounted along the tunnel allows the bar with the mouthpieces to be moved, driven by the motor that is controlled by the automatic unit.

The system allows watering for standard greenhouse widths of 9.6 m and is variable in length, which can vary between 120-140 m and thereby achieve maximum use both in width and in length. Optionally it can be adapted to special greenhouse sizes that surpass these dimensions.

The system is driven by means of a controller that can be connected to a PC, from which we can easily and comfortably program the working parameters, such as speed, number of passes, areas with no watering, watering only with water, with water plus fertilizer, etc.

The equipment comprises:
  • Pumping system: to deliver the necessary flow.
  • Water supply filtration system: in accordance with the size of the mouthpiece that is used, so that blockages do not take place.
  • Automatic controller: it allows the working conditions to be programmed, the keeping of historical records in the PC.....
  • Rail system.
  • Mouthpieces for watering and phytosanitary treatments.
